DAISIES IN BLUE VASE

Taken by Shelli Nisly
Good afternoon to everyone,
This weekend went quickly. Friday there was no daily offering so needed to get one up for today. The last one I offered (12-10-08) was not spoken for so if you liked that painting in the last posting please let me know and I'll send it to you.

This painting of "Daisies in a Blue Vase" was done in oil on canvas board. It measures 11" x 14". If you would like this painting please let me known through responding to this blog posting or email me at gotyme4u@sbcglobal.net No money is required. See TERMS: to the right under ABOUT ME.
I also wanted to let everyone know, even those several of you have received one of these Daily Offering paintings, it doesn't mean you cannot have more than one!! I do not care how many paintings you have. If you like them, I want
you to have them. Several have contacted me and told me that they really wanted a painting but didn't have any money to donate. Donating is not a prerequisite for receiving. Asking is a prerequisite for receiving. :) I want those who like my paintings to have them. Period.

Christmas is nearing and I hope all are having a peaceful time. My son Andy, his wife, Cassandra and their son, Eli will not be able to be with us this year. The rest of our immediate family will be here.

"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The might God, The everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6

May Christ, the Prince of Peace, bring you peace this Christ-mas season.

Lovingly,
Cindy

Flowers

Taken by Damon & Bradi Carney
The daily offering today is a small painting, 5 1/2" x 7". It is gouache on watercolor paper. For those not familiar with gouache, it is a watercolor medium but with a bit of chalky substance in it to make it opaque rather than transparent. This painting is done in the style of another painter but it was painted quite a few years ago and I can't even begin to remember the name of the artist. If you see this painting and you know who did it, please let me know so I can give them credit.

Terms are always the same. I'm trying to figure out where I can post the "terms" so I don't have to retype them each and every day. Wonder if it would work to put them in theplace of my profile to the right? I'll have to try that. Anyway...the painting is free to you if you want it. No obligation to pay, it's yours. Should you, however, (and it's not expected) feel led to contribute to "The Daily Offering" fund, the bulk of the money collected from now until Christmas will be given to the Battered Women's Foundation of Fort Worth. Click here for more information. This foundation is helping abused women and families get on their feet and heal from their abuse. A worthy cause.

God bless you all during this time that we remember Christ's birth. Remember, God can do mighty things from a humble stable.

Red Radishes 12-04-08

Taken by Dawn Allerheiligen
The offering for today is not one of my paintings. The artist is Elizabeth Mitchell Taylor. (Betty) She's a member of my art group, Canvas by Canvas. She wanted to be a part of "My Daily Offering" and I'm glad for her to be here. "Red Radishes" is an acrylic on canvas and measures 8"x 8". I remember her painting this on one of our CBC lake house retreats.
The terms for this painting are the same as with mine. It's free to anyone that might want it, no obligations or expectations. If you feel led to donate a wee bit of money :) that would be wonderful. All monies from now until Christmas will be donated to the Battered Women's Foundation of Fort Worth. This foundation supports women and families of abuse. Their needs at Christmas are increased, which is understandable, but their needs during the year are just as great. Brenda Jackson is the director and you can find out about this foundation by clicking here.

I appreciate your support of this blog and would ask each of you to please forward this blog to as many people on your email list as you think would be interested. Oh...and don't forget to input your email address into the designated spot at the top of this blog. Pretty please and thank you.

European Street Scene

Taken by Barbara O'Toole
Today's offering was a class project done in Maureen Brouilette's class several years ago. It is watercolor on paper and measures 11" x 15". I'm sure you all tire of me saying this but....the cost to you for this painting, is nothing. It's free. No obligations, no pressure. If however, you do feel led to give a bit of money, your donation will be used to help needy families or individuals during not only this Christmas season but all year long.
I wanted to say here...that...some of my paintings are copies of other artists paintings. When I know the name of the artist I will give them credit but sometimes in class we worked from print outs and I can't remember the name of the artist. I apologize to any artist for using their work and would appreciate you letting me know your name. I will gladly give the proper credit to you here on this blog. Thanks.
For those you who have received one of my paintings and have contributed financially, I just wanted to let you know that Jeremy, the man with Lyme's disease, is able to go to Chicago to see a specialist for help with his disease. All this because you felt led to give. Thank you 100 times over for your generosity of spirit and kindness towards this man. I know he and his family are grateful. Let's just pray that he gets the help he needs and that God's hand will be with this physician in Chicago and Jeremy's health is restored.
God bless you all.

Monday 12-1-08

Taken by Kathi Magninie Clark

Good morning,

Above is my daily offering for this cold Monday. It is acrylic on mat board and measures 8" x 10". My terms are always the same. This painting is FREE to the first one that wants it and responds to me via email. I hesitate to write this next statement, as I've said it too often I fear, but if you feel led to pay a bit of money, all proceeds will go to needy families, wherever they are and whenever they are brought to my attention. Should you wish further explanation as to where the money goes, just ask me.

Have a wonderful Monday. See you tomorrow.
Cindy
